Life Time Fitness

I have been a member for years. Just a few years ago I could use both Easton and Dublin clubs for 64.00/month. When I joined again in 2013 it was 64 plus tax just to join Dublin. Then after that it was no longer a 24 hour facility and then shortly after they raised dues to 70 bucks a month. I agree with others, the place is filthy. The treadmills have dried sweat droplets all over the screens and people leave dried up paper in the cup holders. In the locker rooms people leave their dirty towels everywhere and the locker doors are falling of the hinges. Seriously we are almost paying 100 dollars a month for this place and I dont think its any better than the YMCA. They justify the dues because its a big building with the cafe and salon. But really I think people just want to workout. Too much money!
This is probably the most overrated gym in the area. They increase their monthly fees every couple of months so they can "accommodate" us even better. Ummm.....the machines on the second floor are always dirty, the drinking fountains water is always cloudy, I seats on the weight machines are always ripped, and they don't even offer that many group fitness classes! Believe me and switch to a much smaller gym. You don't want to waste you money here.
Monthly rates increase, service decreases. Not worth 70 dollar a month. Supply demand in Dublin so there are several other gym in the area that I will be looking into.
Even though on the website they said that there was no signup fee when you joined, when I asked about it to the employee who signed me up, he told me that it had "expired" even though it didn't have an expiration on it when I looked again on the website. Also, once I tried to quit because I had to move due to my sister, who left for the military, they would not let me cancel by email or by phone. When I signed up they failed to mention that when you give your 30 day notice it had to be by a "certified" letter or that you had to be in that location. I could not go to the location as I was a few states away, and would not be returning for a few weeks. I emailed the same guy who signed me up, a few days before the end of the month, and he took until AFTER the next billing date to reply to my questions about canceling my membership. They make it overly expensive to sign up and impossible to leave. I would not recommend anyone to this gym.
Been there a few months now and not sure what all the "unfriendly" complaints are about. The front-desk always says hello and goodbye and greets you with a smile. Haven't run into any issues payment-wise and the sales associates were very straight forward about their 30-day cancellation policy. Overall an excellent place to stay healthy and keep in shape.
