Fitness Connection - Woodlands
Reviews
I have been a member of Fitness Connection for years. Love this location; everyone is very nice who works here. They have excellent equipment, and I just love the small ladies workout room in the back of the gym! When I started here, I bought two $10/month memberships; one for myself and one for my daughter. I never had any issues with billing and when my daughter moved away for college, I cancelled her membership with no problems. She moved back to the area a couple of years later, and I brought her in during one of Fitness Connection promotions and got $10/month with $0 down membership for her again. I have been a member at numerous other area gyms, and love Fitness Connection! I am not sure why there are any negative reviews at all. All I can say is maybe people are not reading what they are signing and agreeing to, and also not following proper procedures in canceling their membership. I just signed up for personal training here and am so excited about that. Fitness Connection is great!!!
I just joined the gym a week ago. The facility is very clean, all the machines and weight equipment I have tried so far are in working order, people are courteous, and staff are friendly and helpful. You can't beat the price $10/month and you get a lot for it, and free day care, that's awesome. They don't have a pool, or a basket ball court, but I don't need those and don't want to pay for them. Then again, I don't think the $10 is enough to keep the place open. They will try to sell you personal trainer membership, which I singed up for as I thought it was good price and value. I had tried to get in shape before, but I just did not follow through. I think the guidance, planning and motivation of a PT will help. But you don't have to signup for it. There are classes offered as well which I have not been in yet. I will let my wife tell me about those. When you go in there the first time, they will try to sell you the membership and other services, and that is how things work in every gym I have been to. They did not seem pushy to me and they made me really good deals, and I only signed up for what I needed. I could tell they were trying to sell me things. They were honest and guided me in the right direction, and I chose what I wanted. Like I said, $10/month is not going to keep that place open. So I don't mind paying for additional services, and maybe buy supplements from them once in a while. Overall, I am happy with this gym.
I have been a member for four years. I have referred family members and friends. The gym itself is good. Good equipment and space. The management staff has been the worst experience ever. Every time I have had a issue and questions I have been treated with disrespect and looked down on. The one in Irving, TX is the worst. I have been so disappointed and fed up. I will never refer anybody else and if they ask I'll tell them to join Golds.
if you were to take your time to read the reviews you'd notice the only ones complaining are those that dont use the gym. .. they'd go to the gym for a week and wonder why they dont see any results. now coming from a person who uses the gym, I'd say its a great gym. clean machines, clean floors and also clean locker rooms. most of the people who go there are respectful, but there are those A_holes you'll find in any gym. its well worth the money! !!! Alot of gym for a little price.
For 10 dollars it's hard to beat. Lots of machines, clean, day care ladies are so sweet, people at the front desk are funny and kind. This isn't a state of the art gym, but for 10 bucks a month, who cares?! Gets the job done.
