Lehi Legacy Center
Reviews
I've been going to the Legacy Center since they opened. I love it but each year I find it harder and harder to get a membership. This year, I will NOT renew my family's membership and I will not enroll my children in any of their programs. The main attraction for us is the pool; swimming is the only excerise one of my family members can do (due to disability). While they boast 'member only' hours, they are inconvenient for us, and the times we have been during these hours it is so busy, we've had to leave because we were unable to wait in line for a lane. After member hours, they only leave 1-2 lanes open (still wait time). It took a while for them to add 1-2 lanes during swim team hours, but there's still a considerable wait-time to get a lane. It is difficult for members to go either for laps or open swim when trying to work around the various programs that shut the pools down. I can see it is getting more and more difficult for the Legacy Center to serve three communitites (Lehi, Eagle Mountain, Saratoga Springs) and this issue not only exists in the swimming pool, but in other programs. For the recitals/graduations for their children programs, they have first-come first-serve seating policy, if you aren't there within 10 minutes of the doors opening, EVERY seat is saved or taken, people will save ENTIRE rows, and this last time, no one would spare 3 chairs. I complained to a manager they condoned it by saying "well, it is first come first serve, if you didn't get here in time, oh well." -Mind you, I came 10 mintues after the doors opened. They do focus of customer service and if I do have a complaint, they are usually responsive (minus the seating issue) but the crowds have just become too much for me and my family.
The legacy center is great, but the weight room is over used. By that I mean the equipment is beat up and broken. It is the same equipment that has been there since the building was open to the public. The barbell is bent and I have personally been injured on some of the machines.
Great place to take the family.
We love the Legacy Center pool in the summer time. My boys (ages 4 and 20 months) both love the big bucket of water that fills up and splashes down on them. They also love the water slides! I love that it keeps them entertained on a hot summer day!
If you have little kids, the Legacy Center pool is a blast. Our kids love it! I love that it's mostly indoors so we don't have to worry about sunburns. The track is awesome, and they only charge 50 cents!
