You really do get what you pay for with this gym. Small, terrible customer service. I had a billing issue and attempted to speak to the manager via phone (I had moved out of state.) I called approximately 6 times and received the same response. "We'll leave a message for our manager and he'll get back to you." 6 times I did this. There was a hidden fee after 4 months of membership. $45.00 to lock in your rates for a year. Absurd really. That's why they can advertise 9.99 and 19.99 for memberships, because that basically raises it another 4 dollars per month. (4x12=48.) Don't get conned like I did and suckered in to this trashy gym.
Worst place to go to!! Choose a different gym to spend your time and your money! They are on their third General Manager in 7 months and have TERRIBLE customer service. They mess billing up on a consistent basis and expect you to pay late fees when the error is on there part. My bank even offered to contact them to let them know the error was on their part and the GM still said he wouldn't waive fees that were not my fault. You try to ask for help and resolve issues when they come up and all you get is attitude like everything is your fault. This is the worst gym I've been to and would rather spend my time at a LA Fitness than Fitness Evolution.
Filling complaint with BBB. And leaving bad reviews on yelp Google Yahoo insider pages city search and Facebook. I've been coming to this gym since its soft opening in December. The club has had three GM's and poor management from the beginning. The new manager approached me today to tell me I couldn't correct my girlfriend's form. I been working out with her since we started dating 10 weeks ago. I said I wouldn't let my girl do something that would injure her and I will continue to correct Her form if need be. I'm a competitive body builder and have brought in many many people to your club for memberships. I'm expecting an apology before I remove bad reviews and you should reconsider the gentleman u choose as a new manager as his customer service skills are under par.
Service is great, if you stop in to the gym..but if you call the federal way location, they are the rudest people ever. I've called twice..months apart and the same thing happened i was "put on hold", or they said they would call me right back...never did. They also charged me TWO TIMES the month of august.. of a total of 78.54....i was only supposed to get charged 39.99.. that's when i went and called them, and was told their "computer crashed"..and never got a call back...these people need more customer service skills..and not just care about the customers that are there in the store..so pissed. Kind of debating on going back to my old gym, i don't like to be disrespected
I wrote seveal reviews as my opinions changed dramatically after being here for a month so it goes in descending order, copied from another review site...(After almost two months and 1 month of personal training impression) Dont sign up for the trainers! They try to scam you and they dont understand basic math. My account has been screwed by these people because they explicity told me the training for one month would cost me one thing and then I ask a basic question about how to notify for cancellation and all hell breaks loose. There is a complete breakdown of communication between what the trainers are offering and doing and what the head trainer, Kevin knows. I guess Kevin is supposed to be in charge of accounting but instead of trying to solve the financial fiasco that his employee put me in, he argued about my "fitness goals" and how it didnt make sense why I would sign up for a trainer for one month. Instead of arguing, APOLOGIZE and FIND A SOLUTION. They lie to your face and they do not know the first thing about customer service. I had to argue with this man over what his employee told me, when everyone else I tried to ask had said to go to this man and he doesnt even know how to respond to the customers. JUST DO THE BASIC MEMBERSHIP. Ive been looking up alot of stuff on my own and doing much more research than my trainer has. He showed me a few new things but everything else Ive been doing on my own . THE TRAINING IS NOT WORTH THE PRICE..the staff is pretty much worthless at the front desk,,they just wear makeup and stare..and the guys think it's all about tight shirts and muscles. After arguing with this man back and forth, he charged me the wrong amount ANYWAY--which is just a big EFF YOU in my face. Now I have to dispute this charge and try to get the excess refunded to my card. (After I actually got ready to sign up for general membership) the only thing i found weird was they have a 3.50 fee each time u use ur debit card, if u use your debit card. so they want your account number, routing number and bank name. so it was seven dollars and change today and then the first installment comes out march first & the annual fee comes out in may. kinda convoluted at first (This was my first impression) i love the price and the fact that it was new so i checked it out...the reviews do this place an injustice to some degree. this is much better than la fitness up the road! small, new, and they have the updated equipment with the tvs and iphone attachments hooked up! im so excited. the front desk girl we talked to was very helpful and cheerful! and she answered all our questions and that made me feel more at ease. they let us roam around to preview the facility and i thought that was soo cool. its so small and cute and its a really nice facility. im so excited to get started! now there is a annual once a yr fee of 39.99 but its a dollar to join right now & ten dollars a month...either way its hella less expensive than any other place ive found. its more personal of an environment where u can come in and work out and go. thats what i like
