Northwest Family YMCA

This Y is great! I'd like to see the showers better taken care of, but I like these better than the Bob Sierra showers. Also, this maybe a good problem to have; but you need a bigger pool. Only one lane open in the afternoon due to so many classes is a bit annoying.
There is a lot of up to date equipment, but as a whole the facility is unsanitary and unsafe. There is mildew visible in the showers, and the female locker room always has standing water on the concrete floors. The other patrons are loud and do not observe conventions of personal space. Hallways are often clogged with people waiting outside the group fitness room. Older children are often allowed in the infant area of the nursery making it hazardous for little ones to play freely, so they are confined in swings. For over $80 a month for one family, it's worth the drive to the Bob Sierra location. *update-A week at the Bob Sierra and we have seen people cleaning the locker rooms every time we go, disposable disinfectant wipes for machines instead of reusing dirty rags, patrons actually working out and keeping to themselves instead of having loud, extended conversations (mostly in Spanish), and engaged caregivers on the floor playing and singing with children in the kidzone. There's even fresh lemon water and clean towels. Every single thing about Bob Sierra is better than Town and Country YMCA.
the personal trainer david is great !
Last summer I went with my cousin to the YMCA. We were amazed at how much they care about your safety
