LA Fitness

Please take a moment before you go to this mismanaged and dishonest work out facilitiy. Wife and I decided to rejoin a gym this year. LA Fitness in Noblesville was the closest so I went there to sign up. The person I spoke with, Adam, seemed cordial enough but was not very knowledgeable when asked questions outside the normal speech they learn to give when you sign up. I did sign my wife and I up and was informed my package level included all ammenities that the gym had to offer. This was the 8th. Yesterday, went with my family to this facility for the first time to work out. Staff checking you in were not personable and more worried about their bodies than helping anyone out. I was told by one employee that he was too busy to help me when I asked about having my wife's photo taken for her key tag. We went to drop our child off at the daycare facility and was informed we would have to sign up for some kid account and it would be an extra charge. Went back to the front desk where a female employee, Brenda, was rude and not concerned with our issue of not being fully informed about all pricing when signing up. Combine the poor attitudes, hidden fees, and the no show from the trainer who was suppose to give us both an initial training assessment, I promptly ended our membership there before making it passed the check in desk. Today, called to speak with a manager, Ricky, who directed me to a corporate line because he does not as he said "have authorization to refund membership fees after 3 days". I do not believe such but will be calling corporate today. Such a waste as I am sure there are possibly employees there who are friendly and not looking to look down on you because you aren't as skinny as they are. But bottom line, go somewhere else.
Great facility, less crowded at peak times (nights, weekend mornings) than the other LA Fitness locations in the Indy area. Nice a clean, tons of cardio, free weight, and cable weight machines...all new. Basketball court is ridiculous though...the sidelines are up against the walls and the 3 point line runs into the entry door. For all the money they spend to build these clubs, they sure do screw the members that like to play basketball. All in all, still one of the nicer LA locations I have seen throughout the country.
