I walked in to ask about signing up and cost and was told they were running a Groupon for 6 weeks @ $49. I said I didn't purchase a Groupon but was told (by Liz) that I could receive the discounted price anyway. Great! I signed up and issued a check. I went to the 30 minute orientation that Saturday and filled out the necessary paperwork which included a contract that stated their refund policy. "Full refund guarantee if you change your mind, just send us an email, no questions asked!" I attended boot camp the following Monday and the following day I missed work due to severe migraine and vomiting. I went to my doctor and was told I should not attend such an intense fitness program due to a previous neck injury. I emailed to let them know and requested a refund. Initially, I was denied a refund and told I would need to contact Groupon. But since I didn't purchase a Groupon, as I explained, I would like the money refunded directly. I was asked what form of payment I used and was then told I would need a letter from my doctor stating that I could no longer attend. I agreed to obtain a letter as demanded until later when I remembered that contract. I emailed again and mentioned the money back guarantee and requested the refund immediately. I was then told that the contract "only pertained to MEMBERS of fit body boot camp". Ahh loopholes. It's upsetting to feel ripped off when all they needed to do was issue a refund to resolve the issue. When I called my doctor to request a letter, I was told I would need to be seen for an appointment to assess my current condition. The first boot camp incident left me incapacitated for 24 hours, and I was forced to spend the $350 cash (I don't have health insurance) to be treated. So NO, I won't be going to the dr for a letter after all. I suppose I am expected to eat the $49 and continue to feel swindled. Word of mouth travels fast and I'll make sure my friends and family are aware. Please be prepared to lose money if some unforeseen circumstance were to arise. Would not recommend to others. Extremely small facility. Too many people per class session.
