I love this Gold's Gym location. It is clean and friendly with an awesome staff. I love how all of the building is so clean and fresh. With lots of windows it stays bright with the right kind of light to workout with. They have a pool for laps, a hot tub for sore muscles, a Sauna to warm up in. They have clean locker rooms with locks. They have showers and even a towel and bathing suit ringer to get all the water out before getting back into your car. They a lot of teachers and classes. They have personal fitness trainers and just great upper class people that go there and work out. Their is a cardio Cinema that is awesome to watch a movie while running and you forget about the hard work while you gain results. This is definitely the Gold's Gym to go to in the Tulsa and surrounding area.

Golds Gym held my husband to his one year contract even though he was called into active duty. When he stopped paying his monthly dues, his account was handed to a collections agency. When contacted by the agency he paid in full what they were calling to collect to fulfill the one year agreement. He advised the agency he did not want to continue a membership with Golds Gym. The agency said nothing about him needing to contact Golds Gym directly. Two years later he received a call from the same collections agency stating that his contract was not cancelled and he owed another two years worth of monthly dues! When I called corporate headquarters they said that we were responsible for the amount because the collections agency doesn't have the ability to cancel the contract. Why weren't we told that by the agency?!?! And how were we supposed to know that the agency was not a part of Golds Gym?!?! The Golds Gym recovery agent, Jody was unsympathetic and did not even care to listen to all of what I had to say before interrupting me to tell me that it is my husband's responsibility to know the terms of his contract. She continued to say that while over speaking me over and over again. It is hard for me to believe that in fine print on the contract it says, "Our collections agency is not a part of Golds Gym. You must contact Golds Gym directly to cancel your membership." Jody's words were, "You can ask anyone in the company, this is how this is always handled." So this must be a normal occurrence!

I have always loved the people at Gold's Gym, the front desk crew, group fitness classes and the other members of Gold's Gym, but as far as membership and fees goes, I have been lied to, cheated and tricked. I fulfilled my 1 year contract, and I have tried to cancel my account and was convinced to freeze it instead, and cancel later, being told it would benefit me, but all that did is cause me to have to pay 2 months dues before my cancellation would go in to effect...1 month for the freeze and another month for the cancellation. I was told by Kat, that wouldn't happen. I asked her 3 times to verify that to me, and now she says she does not remember promising me I would only have to pay 1 month. I don't even agree with paying 1 month after you cancel, but at least they are honest about that. They kept debiting my account after they weren't supposed to and even though I was promised a refund, I've never gotten it. I should have seen this coming because when I signed up, I asked 3 times, if they had disclosed ALL payments that I would have to make, but they never told me about the yearly fee. I don't even mind paying the yearly fee, but it was not disclosed when I asked to be told of ALL pmts. I was forced to pay my last month of membership up front when I signed up, but now that it is the end, and I have asked about that month I already paid for, I am not able to use it. What a disappointing experience. I am now a member at Lifetime Fitness, month to month, and I am much happier. I can even bring a friend every once in a while. At Gold's they would charge me almost $20 to bring a friend for 1 day.

These guys are criminals. Charges for services not authorized (300.00), if you pay for private training, they can't be bothered to schedule you, won't return calls, charge monthly payments after notified we no longer wanted to be affiliated with that clown show in any way. I strongly reccomend look for another gym, and do not give them credit card information!

I have been a member for quite some time now and have enjoyed the facility and all that it has to offer. It's always clean, equipment in good shape and a good variety. It's also encouraging to see all their trainers busy with clients.
