Great gym, very clean.
joined Sky Fitness over 8 months ago. Paid several months in advance and signed a paper. Much to my surprise this was a contract for a monthly draft.. I explained up-front I didn't want a monthly commitment. Another month I gave Sky their ten days advance to Not have the draft sent to my out of state bank account. Instead I Paid fee in cash and in advance at the front desk. I was told my payment would reflect a credit. Instead Sky Fitness continued to charge me, and sent a draft for the membership fees out of my checking account. I was unaware and continued to use the gym. Four weeks later, my teen age daughter was Denied at the front desk acess to the gym. No apologizes of any kind. I stated I felt like I was important only as someone who pays, not as a customer. I was not happy, but continued with my membership. Today I left the building requesting a printed copy of their class schedule . I was thinking of adding another family member to my account. The young man informed me I had to go online. I asked Again from the young lady at the front desk. She informed me "We don't do that for customers." I told her that I was going to give it to a perspective customer for the. The incident humilated me to the point that I was explaining why I needed it. I just walked out and said "That's it I'm done." The lady was Confused Like why would you be So upset????? If it was too much of a bother I know of several gyms in town that will, Right down the road. They provide Free babysitting for young parents But it was Too much for me to ask for a schedul. That's their Customer Sevice. They Think They Are The It Gym. But, they won't be Mine next Month. BYE SKY!!!!!!!! Oh if they mess up your payments they will offer you a drink, like bottled water. That's service there!!!!! The two young ladies girlsare always sitting at the front desk and only get up to give a tour for perspective customers.
Sky Fitness health club has a variety of equipment for toning muscles, cardio exercise classes, yoga, and pilates. At the Sky Spa you can get a massage, facials, pedicures, manicures, and other services that are available at most day spas. The facility is kept clean. The employees are pleasant.
I have been a member for over a year now and still love going. Used to be an Aspen member until they closed their southside location. Switched to Sky, despite the higher cost. But, just walking around inside, you will see where the extra fees are going. There are lots of little extras in the locker rooms, tons of free (to members) classes, tanning, and a spa. It is amazing! Not to mention, just about every type of weight equipment you could want is there--multiple instances of each in several cases. I feel like I am going to the spa when I go to the gym now. That was definitely not the case at Aspen.
Joined right at one year ago. My wife, daughter and I love it. Still very clean, very personable, great staff. Much better than those mega-gyms. Great spa atmosphere.
