Can I give them no stars? I signed up for the classes, cardio equipment and the pool. All were pretty good to okay condition. Whatever, it's a gym, I just need them clean and I can clean the equipment by myself. But then when I go to cancel, I get lied to about how to cancel and then when I try to be reimbursed for just a portion customer service is unwilling to make it right by me. I was lied to! By their staff! READ YOUR CONTACTS and expect NOTHING more from them. They will state that you, the customer, are trying to violate your contact. No, I called your gym. I asked your staff a question. They lied. I just want 1/4 of the funds back that I paid you based off this misinformation. Take my advise, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Or just buy your own weights. It's not worth it. I wish I had read reviews before I signed up!
I joined the BA 10gym exclusively for the pool. I repeatedly reported that the pool was dirty, with a brown film all over the surface and lots of sediment on the bottom. Nothing was done. The locker room was also disgusting. There was trash in the showers that was there over 24 hours at times. Many times there was underwear left laying around. When I went to try to cancel I was directed to ABC Financial. This is a sleezy organization. I sent in my cancellation request and received a response that they would not honor my request and would continue to charge me till I asked like they wanted me to. STAY AWAY FROM THESE ORGANIZATIONS!
I really liked it! I am not that into the gym scene and I honestly had no idea what I was supposed to be working on! So I just kind of waddled to the treadmill with a confused face and one of the front desk staff came up to me and started asking me questions about my goals and what I wanted to achieve while there. He was very nice and told me what machines I could use! I really like working out here! I have started to take classes and break out of my shell ALOT more! I have lost 147 lbs. and I have been the for 2 years now! Lifetime Fitness is very nice but they're more of a community center than anything and its SO expensive!!!! 10 gym is easy and I am sooo excited for the add ons! :)
I also read bad reviews before I got a membership, but decided to look into them anyways. I read about hidden fees so I went in with that in mind. I got an opportunity to talk to the supposed owner and he seemed like a good guy and I liked their facility from what I saw, so I decided to sign up for the annual membership. However, remembering everyone mentioning hidden fees, I asked him to tell me exactly what fees I would pay and if there was anything else. He completely failed to disclose the $43 'annual fee' you pay after a couple months as a member. The fact that the owner would leave that out left a bad taste in my mouth. I cancelled my membership and will not recommend this gym to anyone. He also failed to tell me that if you cancel, you pay two months + next billing - he just told me two months. Also, I called 'abc financial' who does the billing and the first thing you hear is an automated message explaining the 'annual fee'. If they have an automated message telling you about it first thing when you call, OBVIOUSLY IT ISN'T BEING DISCUSSED. I talked to the rep and she basically hinted that it's all the calls they have. Eventually got transferred to a customer rep manager who was actually very nice and she said she will email the gym to see if they can give me a refund for the annual fee (seeing as I'm canceling my membership). I doubt they will do anything, though. If I do get a refund or better customer service from the gym, I will edit this to reflect that and change my stance. As of now, I will pay $150 this month just to cancel my shit membership.
I had same bad experience here. Im about to cancel my membership but it will gonna cost me $70 which is that will gonna be my 3months payment so I was stock for like 8 months. Receptionist are not nice and friendly which is supposed to be her job. Looks like they are just greeting for those American which is im not because Im Asian. Staff are rude. If u go in and ask about there monthly plan they are so nice but once u enrolled as member they are done. I got this plan that I can use everything and bring a guest. So my first time to invite a friend we went to ZUMBA together which is I thought she can be with me too, I thought she is not only allowed for the pool, spa or ball...but after 1st song I saw this receptionist talking to my friend on the spot saying you are not allowed here, that is so RUDE. Why not just ask her to come with u and step out on the floor and explain it to her nicely, not like what she did talking to my friend on the spot with a lot of people saying you are not allowed here that is so RUDE where is your manner. And Im so upset about that because she is my guest. If she just explained it to me CLEARLY then I would know. And Im willing to pay just incase they want to but that happened so fast. im just about to finish my contract and after that im done. I should have read the reviews before I enrolled here.
