LA Fitness

Worth the value. I use the pool to do laps in the evening. Guest shares the lane when it get busy. The hot tub and the sauna room are clean. Overall a pleasant experience.
I found the facility and greetings at the front door nice. Did not appreciate the sales tactics for personal trainers. They will tell you what you want to hear and the trainers are nothing but students faking as trainers. Find your workout routine on-line.
I've been a member for over a year now. Comments about the bathrooms are pretty accurate. Since I primarily swim don't know as much about the equipment. I'd say pool and suit spinner are poorly managed. Often they let kids play in the pool when people are trying to swim laps and they have no swimsuit water extractor. I usually use the facility located in Pearland instead of this one.
I will offer some feedback based on my personal experience. I have been a member of Lifetime Fitness for years and visited 24 Hour Fitness a few times. Because I moved to house which's very close to LA Fitness couple years back, I ended up joining this club. The decision to join LA Fitness ended up being a very poor decision. If Google allows something like "extremely poor", I would've picked that. Here are reasons why: 1. For $30/mon. Fitness Connection which is 2 minutes down Hwy 6 and brand new is a better option for $10/mon. no contract. 2. The lock room (Men's) is the worst smelling locker room in all of fitness clubs I have been to. (So far, Lifetime Fitness, 24 Hour, Sugar Land Recreational Center, etc) To put it in perspective, I had to hold my breathe when I change and if I don't, it feels like 100 guys bare feet who haven't showered for weeks. I told the management about the problem, and they spend (self-claimed) $1 million on replacing their equipment but never done anything about the locker condition. 3. The staff is incompetent and will not take responsibility. When I signed up 2 years ago for 3 members in my family with one-time payment non-refundable (which I found out later, bad decision), the sales guy verbally promised me that I can bring some friends with me whenever they visit and he even gave me a lot of guest passes, but recently when my friends tried to use the guest passes, they even called cops for "trespassing". And the operations manager said the sales department has no say on who to admit and who not to admit...I thought they all work for LA Fitness? Maybe they should keep a tighter control on getting those people sneak into the basketball court all the time. Basically, although I paid 3-year membership there, I barely go there once a month because of these negative experiences I have had in the past two years. This review is only based on my personal experience and the final decision to join the club or not is yours. For me, I rather do p90x at home than to go to LA Fitness. Hope this is helpful to whoever's looking at this sports club.
This is a really gym for LA Fitness standards, patrons here are friendly for the most part, only thing lacking is the weight training equipment.
