I joined TX 3rd Coast about 6 months ago. Having no martial arts experience, and being ridiculously un-coordinated, I decided one day to try out the gym. There are a variety of arts taught: Boxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Submission Grappling, Jeet Kune Do (JKD), MMA, Cardio Kickboxing, MMA Fitness, and even some junior courses for the young students. Even with no experience and knowing no one at the gym, I was immediately welcomed into this amazing gym-family. Coach Joe and Jason, two great instructors who are the backbone of this gym, showed me the ropes and taught me the basics with all the arts that are taught, while showing me how to expand on those skills. I highly recommend this gym to anyone interested in learning any of the martial arts. I've learned a great deal while here. Come and try the gym out. You'll love it.

I highly recommend this gym. The instructor, Joe Soliz, is excellent. He knows his stuff and he teaches it well. There are no pretenses, no arrogance; just skill and experience. Everyone there is always welcoming and willing to work with you, no matter the skill level. I visited various MMA gyms in the Southwest Houston area before signing up with this one, and the atmosphere is night and day between this gym and the others. Very personalized, encouraging, and to-the-point training. Try them out, you won't be disappointed.

I moved from another state, and visited a lot of other martial arts studios before finding 3rd Coast. Having 15 years of martial arts experience, I am very picky about what I am looking for in an MMA gym. They are very welcoming, but they take what they do seriously. It's great to see people of all experience levels in one class, working together and helping one another become better. The instructors are all highly skilled and clearly love what they do. If you are looking for a quality gym, this is the place to go to!

Best place to learn mixed martial arts. I've trained in a couple of place but this gym as it all. The main instructors Joe Soliz and Jason Soilz really do know what they are teaching, when i has a question they always has the answer to it. I am one of their students and still learning about all this wonderful arts. So if you want to come and try out the gym , your more then welcome to stop by.

Joe and and Jason are Excellent instructors! They keep up on the latest and most effective Ju-Jitsu techniques for those who like to compete and the Kickboxing World Class! They focus on safety and respect for your training partners. The gym has a friendly welcoming atmosphere and the staff treats everyone like family. I personally have known Joe and Jason Solis before they opened the gym and they have never changed. Joe would invite everyone over to his house to train and let them use his showers, offer food and drinks, and just treat eveyone like his own family. Overall Tx 3rd Coast MMA is a Great place to train and makes me proud to call it Home!
