I tried out Crossfit Tigard for a week, and absolutely loved it! PJ, the owner, is brilliant. He taught my first class and was incredibly helpful and patient with my beginner status to Crossfit. Ben, one of the trainers, was also amazing, and he helped me achieve a proper squat position for the first time in my life! Stephanie and Mark are another two outstanding trainers that I worked with while taking the Elements (beginner) classes. Great environment, great people, and seems like a great fit for all levels! I've been training at P.A.W. for about a year and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Head Coach P.J. and staff provide a great mix of high intensity intervals for metabolic conditioning, and down&dirty iron pumping for strength training. They provide the best programmed warmups I've ever experienced - which are designed to really prepare you for the movements to be performed that day - and are often a challenging little mini-WOD. For those who are not satisfied with the level of work during the normal workout, they provide plenty of programmed supplemental work for anyone wanting to take it to the next level, which I love. Great members, great coaches, great box!
Simply put, CrossFit PAW is the greatest. I have been working out there for about 6 months and can't say enough good things. The coaches are fantastic, motivating, and incredibly thorough about form and skills to prevent injury- they can modify the exercises to any level of athlete while still making you feel like you are getting the ultimate work out. I highly recommend CrossFit PAW whether you are a seasoned CrossFitter or just looking to try it out. You won't find a better staff or a more supportive, encouraging community than this one.
The entire time I was at Crossfit P.A.W. I loved it. Crossfit is an amazing sport, but the people you train with make all the difference. The coaches at P.A.W. are incredibly supportive and very knowledgeable, a top priority is safety and form. After moving out of Portland I realized how spoiled I had been at P.A.W. Not every Crossfit box is going to foster your growth the way that this one does. Plus the people are super fun! I barely recognized myself after 3 months of hard work, I'm hooked on Crossfit and am so thankful for all of the good habits I formed, and inspiring people I met wile training at P.A.W.
CrossFit PAW was just what I needed to take my work-outs to the next level. I had been a member of 24 hr fitness for 10+ years and honestly enjoyed their classes about 3 times a week. 24 lacked the intensity, motivation, variety, education, and support. I now get all these things from CrossFit PAW and am seeing great results in my physical fitness. The coaches are always there to motivate me and help me get to the next level. It is worth every penny as it is an investment in my physical health!
