So far it seems just fine. It's a gym. Plenty of selection of a variety of cardio devices with not much crouding. The circuit training equipment is newer and in good quality. The tanning beds are many, clean and not too intensive, so a properly even/metered tan can be obtained. They also offer Mystic tanning if you want to look like an oom-pah-loompah, otherwise I stick with the regular tan, which helps elevate your mood.

terrible employees. one of them, Chris, lied about their contracts to my face. then when I was incorrectly charged, he lied again about being the individual who signed me up. Saying that he was not the one who enrolled me. every employee that I came into contact with while I attended this gym was unfriendly and extremely unprofessional to say the least. Would never recommend this gym to anyone.

This is THE best gym in Norman, bar none. All you have to do is walk thru it to tell. It has all the latest technology & best equipment on the market. 24 hour, theater room, free tanning, free arobics classes, great staff. I have been a member over 10 years and this is the best value in town.

Best option in the area

I've been putting off joining a gym forever. I've read so many bad review for every gym in town I was sure I'd be stuck in a life long contract, paying a ton, for failing equipment and evil staff saying mean things to me. I joined Steel Fitness a few months ago and am very happy I did. They have added and expanded so much in just the few months I've been there. I've never had to wait on cardio or weight machines and I go between 7-10, which I would think would be peak hours. The gym is very clean, the staff nice but not nosy. The customers are all kinds so I don't feel like I stick out. They even give you a free weight training session when you join which makes starting on those weight machines alot less scary. They have lots of options for month to month or yearly contracts. But even at month to month they are cheaper then other gyms I've looked at with yearly contracts. And being 24 hours is great because I can never make the excuse that it's too late to go to the gym. I highly recommend them.
